 I don't think it is related to google talk.

 I suspect that you have Bonjour installed (and it may be a broken
 installation of that which is causing this problem.

 If you feel like debugging a bit more, you can try installing the Apple
 Bonjour runtime (see [wiki:"Using Pidgin#CanIusePidginforBonjourLink-
 LocalMessaging" this] for more information).
