Comment:

 What do you mean exactly when you say you can't receive a message from
 anyone. How do you know they are sending you messages that you miss? Do
 you see the typing notification and then no message? Does the Debug Window
 show anything when you think the message is supposed to be coming in?

 What operating system is this on?
