 ronjie: Can you use something like wireshark to find out what trillian is
 doing differently? My guess is that they are either trying more servers,
 or using a different version of the protocol and therefore using different
 servers. But I know nothing about the Yahoo protocol.

 If the issue is simply that some servers being returned by DNS are broken
 then (other than changing pidgin to try fallback entries) I'm not sure
 what we can do about this.
