 While pidgin is not a blog/etc. client allowing people to write plugins
 which do that (and possibly present the information in the buddy list) is
 nice. I imagine they would want to use OTHER_NODE for any information they
 present that way (along with NO_SAVE most likely).

 I've more than once considered surfacing "account groups" (for status
 purposes) as blist entries via a plugin, which would also likely use
 OTHER_NODE and NO_SAVE.

 Neither of those is incredibly compelling but assuming keeping OTHER_NODE
 doesn't incur any obvious (or odius) penalties I'd say keep it.
