 If you are offering a Google Talk account type (even if its a hack, and
 the account is actually XMPP), end-users expect that the program will
 "look" and act like the official client. Adding in special-casing gains us
 visual compatibility and functionality in line with the official GTalk
 client(s), and gives the user a more unified experience when using the
 GTalk service, no matter which client (official or third-party) they are
 using.
