Comment:

 I think our image works for embarrased much better than does the one on
 the AIM site I linked to, I imagine that's why our icon guy made it that
 way. I will grant that changing the direction of the mouth changes the
 message of the icon, which is exactly why I said using icons for more than
 the absolutely minimal emotions is essentially a non-starter (especially
 in a world where people are free to choose their own icons locally).

 At best the 'bug' here is that our icon differs in some people's face-
 value interpretation (no pun intended), but I don't think that's anything
 we can really prevent on the whole and while it may make sense to tweak
 this specific icon each time you use a smiley by itself is going to be a
 crapshoot regardless.

 hbons: Your call, if you think the official AIM client icon for this and
 ours differ too much in some genericly interpretable way (good luck
 figuring that out) and want to fix it, feel free.
