 I have a simple request.  When sending/pasting any kind of code or even
 shell commands, pidgin inadvertently reformats things into
 smileys/emoticons.  Wouldn't it be better if the parser only parsed
 "complete" emoticons? i.e., with at least a preceding space before or at
 the start of a line?  Yes, I know you can just turn the things off, but
 this seems like the better compromise to me.
