 The icons of pidgin (apart from the pigeon icon of the buddy list) are not
 showing. Neither the buddy icons nor the smileys.

 I already tried a reinstall of gtk as per recommendation in #4389 but this
 did not help either (pidgin was shut down during the installation process
 and I have no other gtk application running as far as I know of).
