 I've just had an idea.

 You could be able to organize contacts by tags.

 Right click on nick-name, add tag, write the tag name, hit enter.

 You could display contacts by tags and then have a view like the gorups
 one, but instead of groups names, you'd have tags names.

 That is better than groups because:

 1. it's more practical to just add an tag to a user than adding a new
 group and moving users to it
 2. it's not practical to create one group for just one user, and making a
 tag for one user is.
 3. you could have more than one tag per user
 4. it's easier to search (see firefox bookmarks, if you add tags to them,
 going to a bookmarked page is easy)

 Tags would be like groups, but instead of adding users to them, you'd add
 them to users.
