 I did contact the previous translator before commiting the Windows
 installer (as you can see on that old old ticket).

 I really haven't contacted him regarding Pidgin since then, but he let me
 take the translation on.[[BR]]
 Since I saw the deadline anouncement, I just focused on translating
 everything the best way.[[BR]]
 Given the fact that the translation's been frozen since then (there's also
 some 'mea culpa', as I got busy on some other matters), I didn't think
 that I needed to "renew the permission".
