 Running pidgin 2.5.8 on Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix I have the following
 issue:

 After running alacarte, menu editor for GNOME, and changing the launcher
 icon (from here:  http://www.gnome-
 look.org/content/show.php/Pidgin+Oxygen+Style?content=84627) some of the
 icons in pidgin are now missing (see attached photo).

 I do not understand how the changing the menu icon would impact the
 application icons so I think the change is coincidental.

 I have tried deleting the .purple directory from my home directory.  I
 have tried to delete just the .icon files from the .purple sub-
 directories.  I have tried to uninstall and reinstall pidgin.  I have
 tried to change GTK themes.  I have installed, uninstalled, re-installed
 facebook plug-in. None of the above actions changes how pidgin appears.

 Pidgin seems to be the only application that is impacted.
