 WHAT A RELIEF!!  This has been crashing my Pidgin-AIM every single file
 transfer for the past 6 months (see Ticket #8336).  Upon finding this
 ticket, I tried switching from Clear Looks to Mist.  It got further into
 the file transfer start but still crashed.  Debug analysis stack trace
 showed that even with Mist theme, libclearlooks was still being called
 prior to the crash?

 So I tried theme "MS Windows", as bare-bones a Theme as I can think of.
 Now my file transfers work for the first time in 6 months!!  What a
 relief!!  Only wish I had found this MUCH Much sooner...
