New description:

Recently pidgin has not been able to load and stay loaded. It will fail
at various stages of connection to my various accounts. When creating a
backtrace through gdb it will freeze but not fully close, and though the
instructions on collecting a backtrace say to Ctrl+C the program in
Terminal, that also closes my gdb. Hopefully this has not affected the
backtrace file too much. I have also renamed pref.xml in .pidgin and the
error persists so I know it's not the plugins. Attached is my most recent
 backtrace.

 Update:
I have since isolated further that it is my gmail account that is causing
pidgin to crash. I have disabled and reenabled all accounts seperately
and they all work except for that one. I have commented it out in the
accounts.xml file and then added it anew once the program is running and
 the problem still persists.
