Comment:

 The perl build has been changed slightly since this ticket was filed, it
 is possible (though unlikely) that this is now fixed. If it is not fixed
 though I'm not sure what there is for us to do here as we really do want
 to use the same settings as the perl we are building against was built
 with.

 If it can be determined where the -arch flags are coming from exactly it
 might be possible to figure out if there is something to be done about
 this.
