 I actually think the fact that we do this is a good thing, it means that
 when the conversation needs a scrollbar long messages don't get rewrapped.
 I *hate* that the size of the content area of a firefox window changes
 depending on the length of the window, it drives me crazy on pages which
 have expanding/collapsing sections.

 Normally, I'd agree that the consistency is important and that not
 displaying irrelevant UI clutter is important but in this case I think our
 current behaviour is just better.

 I'm (as always) open to being convinced otherwise, but I'm going to set
 this to pending so that if we don't get any discussion it will close
 itself.
