 Short version: I noticed that Pidgin was shredding my CPU (via Task
 Manager) after having a long conversation with lots of moving icons (in
 MSN).  I believe all the icons were still being animated even though they
 were off screen, and subsequently causing very high CPU usage.  2.2 ghz
 dual core.
