 A ''workaround'' for this is to add a Resource to your XMPP account. You
 will probably need to merge in any conversations from the %2f directory to
 the other. Could you confirm that that works?

 (please note: yes, I consider this a bug and intend to fix it, but I'm
 offering that as a workaround for the moment).
