 Mark, here are some more details about this. I can reproduce this with
 myself on my own buddy list, so the "remote" client is running i.p.p head.

 For the *tooltip*, when oscar_user_info_append_status is called, as I
 said, the away message is in `userinfo->status` and `userinfo->away` is
 NULL.

 When I Get Info, when oscar_user_info_append_status is called, the away
 message is now ''also'' in `userinfo->away` (with HTML markup). After
 Getting Info, the away message shows up properly in the tooltip.
