 I believe a long time ago there were a couple plugins that I had to
 install to the .purple folder to get them to run correctly for some
 reason..

 Anyway, when I moved my data to a new computer, I just copied my .purple
 folder from my old hard drive to my new one to hang onto my logs,
 preferences, plugins and whatnot. Though nowadays I don't really make use
 of any plugins outside of what ships with pidgin, so I guess I don't
 really need to stash my plugins there anymore.

 But yeah, I try to run the latest versions of Pidgin.
