 Hello everyone,

 I think it would be very useful if the buddylist and groups could be
 synced using the Google Contacts API. That way buddies could be assigned
 to a contact and their different accounts would be merged into one buddy
 automatically on all Pidgin clients.

 The iPhone/iPod touch application Beejive does support something like
 this, that way you don't have to manage your buddylist on each computer
 you install Pidgin.

 The Google Contacts API provides fields for some of the most common
 instant messaging services and other services could be stored in custom
 fields. No information should be stored locally, because the
 buddy<->contact relationship can be generated from the instant messaging
 accounts assigned to a contact.

 This would simple be a way to sync and store the blist.xml file online.
