 I reproduced the error as follows.

 1. Run pidgin with Gmail account.
 2. Put the computer to sleep then resume.
 3. Do 1 and 2 until pidgin cannot connect upon resuming, but stays
 disconnected at "waiting for network" or "connecting" state.
 4. Put the computer again to sleep.
 5. Resume to see pidgin has crashed.

 I attached the last part of the debug file, which I believe contains the
 problem. I have not posted the rest as I am not sure how reliably I can
 clean the sensitive info.
