New description:

 When scrolling the Pidgin buddy list down with the keyboard (down arrow,
 page down), it jumps around erratically when the highlight moves from a
 buddy to a group heading off the bottom edge of the visible area.

 It's easiest to see when the buddy list has a lot of groups and buddies
 and is resized quite short to give lots of room for scrolling.

 It's the same on my 64-bit machine at work and my 32-bit machine at home.
 Both are running Ubuntu Jaunty and the Awesome window manager. I have
 tried in IceWM and have the same behaviour.
