 To whom it may concern,

 I'm running Pidgin on a few computers (office, university, other rooms in
 my house etc.) to have everywhere the possibility to communicate in a used
 way.
 But a general problem (of IMs) is that you can just sign one from one
 computer. So if I sign on upstairs, the IM-account isn't online down here
 anymore.
 This is why I thought about this: There must be a pidgin "server-version"
 on a home-server who is always connected to the internet and the other
 computers' (office, laptop etc.) pidgin connects to this server version.
 There would be a few advantages:
 - History could be read from every computer cause all of it is saved on
 the server
 - You could get messages on all computers parallel, so you can start a
 conversation on one computer and end it on an other one
 - You won't miss messages, because you're always connected
 - ...

 I know thats more than just a plugin, but I think this feature would gain
 pidgins fantastic functions a lot.
