 I can't reproduce the problem exactly but as explained previously my
 instance of Pidgin on my home computer is having the same issue. This time
 I was able to get the debug log and so it seems like perhaps it is a SRV
 record issue as stated in [http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/9956 Ticket
 #: 9956] and yes, I am using Windows in both cases.

 Hopefully the log should be attached.
