#10154: Filetransfer always crashes Pidgin

 MSN, AIM, IRC (remaining protocols I haven't tried), when sending and
 receiving files a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" screen comes up
 and reports an error whereafter Pidgin shuts down swiftly.

 I have twice removed the Pidgin installation and installed the standard
 package to see if that took care of it.
 The error occured when I upgraded to version 2.4 I believe, previously I
 could transfer all I wanted.
