 I've been using gnome-swallow-applet to save my poor overworked
 notification bar from having to display yet another icon for an
 application that wants to stay resident; this has the handy side-effect of
 providing an autohide feature for Pidgin on Linux. However, the two don't
 entirely get along.

 Steps to reproduce:[[BR]]1. Swallow the Buddy List window into the Gnome
 panel using gnome-swallow-applet.[[BR]]2. Try to open the About window.

 Expected results:[[BR]]The About window opens, in a separate window.

 Actual results:[[BR]]Pidgin crashes.
