 Anyways, if it is easy to accept a file transfer by accident and run the
 file. Furthermore, there are other dangers of file transfers. For example,
 if you don't use the AIM/ICQ proxy server, your IP address will be
 revealed. In fact, your IP address might be revealed even by the initial
 attempt to establish a connection and your subsequent acceptance or denail
 of it.

 This is not a matter of simply informing people who in some cases may not
 even be aware that their file is infected.

 Is it really that much to ask for a simple feature that automatically
 declines such file transfer offers? You save the time of having to decline
 it. No direct connection is ever established. No file is ever sent and
 opened by accident.

 I hope you at least consider this.

 In any case, responding to Richard Laager. I did not know I was subscribed
 to the mailing list. I just filled out the form and made a report; I am
 quite new to this system. I'm still trying to figure out how to access the
 mailing list. I apologize if it looked like I was nonresponsive; I checked
 my post everyday, and this is the first time I realized what was going on.
