 This has been occurring every few hours.

 Pidgin will go and reset all of my friend's friendly display names to
 their e-mail addresses, which I managed to catch on the debug window.

 The line in the report that contains "(MSN address here)" is repeated for
 every MSN contact in your address book, I just condensed it to reduce the
 number of lines and also removed the address for privacy.
