 I disabled networkmanager but, why depend on third-party software to tell
 you if you have connectivity or not? Isn't it simpler to first try once,
 and on failure wait on NM messages? This was suggested here
 "https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-
 manager/+bug/180326/comments/2" and looks like a good and real fix to
 this.
