 I just upgraded my pidgin version to Pidgin 2.6.4.

 I have a proxy Squid Cache: Version 2.7.STABLE3 configured as HTTP proxy
 with Simple Authentication (NCSA) which has been working fine for more
 than 6 months and no changes in the config for more than 2 months.

 The proxy is restarted every day. It is configured fine so that all pidgin
 versions including 2.6.3 worked without problem.

 After the upgrade to Pidgin 2.6.4 I can not login to any messaging account
 accept Gadu-Gadu.

 Squid log displays TCP_DENIED/407 for the Msn, Yahoo, Gtalk, Jabber, ICQ
 all this accounts fail to log in via the Squid HTTP Proxy.

 In the change log for Pidgin 2.6.4 I see "Don't send Proxy-Authorization
 headers to HTTP proxy servers until we've received a "407 Proxy
 Authentication Required"", can you please let me know if I need to change
 something on my squid or there is issue with HTTP authentication of Pidgin
 via Squid.

 The pidgin accounts config work fine when I revert back to Pidgin ver.
 2.6.3.

 I guess pidgin either doesn't interpret or sense correctly the replies of
 the Squid - TCP_DENIED/407 or can not send the correct authentication
 anymore.
