 Any movement on this? I just installed pidgin 2.6.4 and I notice the
 behaviour is still the same.

 I have a couple of people on my contact list who haven't been online in
 months, but Pidgin still shows them as online just because they happened
 to have set a mobile phone number for themselves some time in the past.
 It's really annoying and it would be great if it was at least configurable
 whether Pidgin should show such contacts as online.

 A comment from a Pidgin developer as to whether this is ever going to
 happen would be much appreciated.
