 Hi,

 Yesterday I've stumbled upon the following piece of code:

 It's a a really nice implementation of webkit conversation views as a
 _plugin_. Of course, some Adium themes don't work, but most do. The real
 benefit of this is that it's compiled as a duynamically-loaded plugin.
 Moreover, it doesn't replace the standard simple gtk html, as XMPP Console
 still works well.

 The thing is, this plugin would need some polishing to be ready for
 mainstream.

 I'm aware of the GSoC webkit project
 (http://arniealmighty.wordpress.com/2009/08/16/pidgin-and-webkit-message-
 views/), though as I've read it requires deep changes in pidgin.

 Are there any plans of integrating either the plugin or the GSoC project
 into mainline pidgin?
