 If you rename the 'Bonjour' group to something like 'LOCAL' (as I did)
 Bonjour users are removed. If you rename the group back to 'Bonjour' and
 restart Pidgin the users are there again.

 I suggest that, that it is possible to name the group to any name without
 loosing the contacts.

 This is with the standard Pidgin on Ubuntu 9.10
