New description:

This has only happened recently, but when left on for multiple hours at a
time (usually 3-5) Pidgin climbs to about 1.6GB of Memory (roughly half of
what my physical system total is). Also, usually once the memory is over
the 1GB mark, it uses up about 50% of the CPU (one full core on a dual
 system).

I have tried disabling plugins and i still see the same issue. I searched
for general memory leaks here and on the GTK+ bug tracker and i did not
see anything relating to what i have seen.

Interestingly, this did not happen from the start. I was running fine for
months before it started happening. Nothing new was installed in the time
between when it worked and when it didnt work.

I have tried a full removal/reinstall and i still see the same issue.

Also, I know this has little to no effect on the troubleshooting process,
but if i boot into Linux (Latest Ubuntu release) and run pidgin there,
 everything is fine.

I have attached a screenshot of the task manager.
