 Well, it's a good thing I chose yesterday to run ''pidgin -n w/o
 plugins'', because my internet went out for 8 hours or so. :-S

 Results:
  * I killed the no-IRC Pidgin instance I was running yesterday. Memory
 stats (Working Set/Private Bytes/Virtual Size): '''42/115/284'''. So
 memory use is still growing without IRC, albeit at a much slower rate. Of
 course, I'm doing a lot less overall messaging via Pidgin than usual, 'cos
 I'm using ChatZilla as a substitute IRC client.
  * pidgin -n starts at 7/21/146, is at 7/21/144 a day or so later. Crashed
 when I connected to IMs. Will attach crash report; debug log is available
 if desired.
  * pidgin no-plugins starts at 31/23/160 after connecting to all IM
 networks. (AIM/GTalk/MSN/YIM.) It's now at 18/28/168, but I've been mostly
 leaving it minimised and done minimal messaging. Should see some more use
 over the next few days, we'll see how it /g(row|oe)s/.
