 First thing in the morning I am usually the first online, so yes they are
 all OffLine and I did have the Show Offline buddies checked.
 I un-checked the Show Offline buddies and closed Pidgin, started back up
 and the Buddies list is still empty. I have to disable my account and
 enable to get my buddies to show up. So in my case the Show Offline
 buddies has no effect.
