#8337: Loss of Formating in a moderate sized text

 When pasting the paragraph from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Setsubun#Mamemaki, there was a loss of all
formating in the out coming text resulting in the following:

Mamemaki is usually performed by the toshiotoko (年男) of the household
(i.e., the male who was born on the corresponding animal year on the
Chinese zodiac (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_zodiac)), or else the
male head of the household. Roasted soybeans
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soybean) (called irimame 炒り豆) are thrown
either out the door or at a member of the family wearing an Oni
 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oni_%28Japanese_folklore%29) (demon
 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demon) or ogre
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogre)) mask, while the throwers chant "Oni
wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!" (鬼は外! 福は内!). The words roughly translate to
"Demons out! Luck in!" The beans are thought to symbolically purify
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purify) the home by driving away the evil
spirits that bring misfortune and bad health
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health) with them. Then, as part of bringing
luck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luck) in, it is customary to eat
roasted soybeans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soybeans), one for each
year of one's life, and in some areas, one for each year of one's life
plus one more for bringing good luck for the year to come.

In ticket #1021, datallah stated that the limit of formating is 100. This
logistically is too small if this is the actual cause of the problem. I
only counted 4 blocks of Italics and 10 links in the article, and as you
can see, it became fairly unreadable; therefor, in it's current state, the
 'security feature' may be malfunctioning.

The systems tested on were Linux (Debian 2.5.0 & later with 2.5.4) and
Windows XP SP3, Pidgin version 2.5.0
