Comment:

 The backtrace looks really odd. For example, why would
 gtk_source_iter_backward_search() be calling pidgin_sound_get_ui_ops()?

 Is this reproducible with all buddies with logs or does it only happen
 with certain buddies? What happens if you move the log files for that
 buddy out and copy only one file back? If it's still reproducible, can you
 share that log file with me? If you'd like to keep that private, you can
