 Not sure if this info helps at all, but I've been successfully using a
 build of 2.5.2 with the patch from [comment:23 comment 23] for the past
 month and a half with no apparent issues.  Granted I'm not an xmpp chat
 power user -- I just use it for basic chat in a similar IT environment
 that has been described in previous comments.
