 Pidgin's logging policy - "one log file per session" - is pretty
 eccentric. As best I can tell, no other IM client works this way.

 It should be trivially easy to choose other common methods of grouping
 messages, such as:

  * One log file per period (e.g., per day, per month, per year)
  * One log file per IM account (all messages received through that account
 go to the same file, regardless of time)
  * One log file per alias (regardless of time, and regardless of which IM
 account within that alias is used)

 Any thoughts on enhancing Pidgin in this manner? Any plugins that alter
 this functionality?
