 It looks like we possibly received a quit message which was not valid
 UTF-8, and failed to catch this.  Unfortunately, without more information,
 I cannot tell for sure.

 If you still have the core file, could you give me the output of 'bt
 full'?  I am particularly interested in the values of the local variables
 in frame 14 (irc_msg_quit).
