 We can't drop extended away, it is a status that protocols support.

 I don't recall what I may have said on this topic previously but my
 feeling at this point is that when the new icons were originally created
 it would likely have made sense to have kept the 'yellow' icon as away and
 that at the moment replacing the clock with some other icon is still
 reasonable. Though given as how we've gotten little-to-no comments on this
 in quite some time I doubt taht making the change will benefit anyone
 much. Especially with the status icon theme support that is coming.
