 I just recently downloaded Pidgin.  For the first two days or so, logging
 into AIM posed no problems and was totally normal.  However, when opening
 Pidgin today, it would not connect with AIM.  I received the error
 message: "Aloysius426 disconnected: Could not connect to authentication
 server.  Connection timed out."

 I tried a few options.  I confirmed that I could still directly sign into
 AIM through its own browser.  I checked my Windows Firewall (I run 32MB
 Vista) and both AIM and Pidgin are checked and allowed to bypass.  I also
 couldn't see any issues with my Symantec anti-virus program, I do not
 believe that I run a firewall thru Symantec.

 I also could not find a specific ticket related issue, though I find
 myself somewhat bogged down by technical jargon.
