 Sorry, my last comment is not exact. I had restored some files: my
 plugins. It looks like jabber crashes when connecting if my plugins are in
 the .purple/plugins directory (even if they're not enabled).

 Everything is fine if I connect to jabber and then I load and enable my
 plugins.

 These behaviour is unexpected and jabber should not crash pidgin even if
 my plugins were buggy (at least as long as they're not enabled).

 Please ask me if you need other informations.
