Comment:

 So datallah had notified me of disabling all of my plugins in the Pidgin
 menu, which I did, but to no avail.

 Elb said: "the socket is being disconnected, but for some reason you're
 not notified
 12:52   blahblah        which has about a 99.9999% probability of being
 your firewall or NAT box"

 I have no idea how to go about fixing this problem...so if anyone knows,
 it would be greatly appreciated, if that's the case.
