Comment:

 This issue is caused by a third party plugin.  We have no control over
 these plugins.  Please report this problem to the authors of this third
 party plugin.[[BR]]We don't support the Skype plugin.  Not only did we not
 write the plugin, it is our belief that its existance is a violation of
 the GPL license governing Pidgin, which all plugins are required to obey.
