 pidgin seems to be sending / receiving large amounts of data without my
 authorization. my network transfers spike up from time to time, I realize
 it's pidgin then when I try to close pidgin the program stalls, I can't
 even terminate the program through task manager (end process), the only
 way to get rid of pidgin then is by restarting my computer.
