#7986: 2.5.3 freezes on Exit request

 I have Win XP SP3 and Pidgin 2.5.3 which I´ve downloaded several times.
 When I try to exit, either soft or hard exit, Pidgin freezes on me and has
 to be deleted from the task table.

 It also might freeze on me or crash when it´s running and an email
 notification arrives while I am chatting.
