Dear Pidgin developers and the like,

I have found a very annoying case in Pidgin 2.5.3 which I believe happens
for computers that run the defaults of a Windows XP JAPANESE install.
This happens when I am typing latin chars in the "A" option (ie, pressing
ALT-SHIFT to get out of japanese input). I have NOT installed a EN[glish]
IME as I have found I don't need it for latin typing.

When I am in a chat window, and the cursor is fixed somewhere on the
"chat" upper-half of the chat window, ie, where messages come up from you
and the other party, etc, when I start typing, it takes about .5 seconds
to focus down to the text input bottom-half. In this time (because I type
quite fast), it misses up to around 2 keystrokes in this transition phase,
so when I write "cool" it will show up as "ol", etc.

At work, however, I use the same version, on a US copy of Windows XP, and
have tested this flaw with the Japanese IME in the same "A" writing input
setting... and found that this DOESN'T happen. For some reason, this
seems to only affect a Japanese copy of Win XP.

I would be happy to provide screenshots, or maybe some sort of animation
of it, or even let a developer VNC into my computer and show this, as this
 is incredibly annoying.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
