 After a few more days, pidgin has still been running, thats 5 days
 straight without a freezup, thats long enough to have encountered some
 leak related bug(s) I haven't seen in ages which require me to restart for
 other reasons (reported elsewhere) so I'm confident that notify.dll was
 causing the freezups when GUI aspects were changed.   Here's my settings
 relating to that DLL:
